Mark is a board-certified family physician working at CHP half-time in clinic and as the organization’s medical director. Dr. Schulein is a graduate of the University of Colorado School of Medicine and he completed his residency at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He has been providing family-centered care at CHP since 2001. In his free time, Mark loves to be outside fishing, bird hunting, camping, and running, and he loves to spend time with his wife and two sons.



Stefanie hails from the Twin Cities in Minnesota and fell in love with Montana when she worked in the Paradise Valley during a summer in college. She stayed in Bozeman after college working and taking classes before heading to New Orleans for medical school at Tulane University and then criss-crossed the country again for her residency back in Minnesota. Stefanie still loves the outdoors in Montana and now gets to bring along her growing family of five plus some critters.



Rebecca graduated from Stanford’s Primary Care Associate Program in 1989. Since that time, she has worked in numerous places in the western US, including California, Alaska, New Mexico and Montana. She has worked at CHP since 2002 and believes that Community Health Partners in Livingston offers the most incredible and comprehensive health care she has seen in her career as a physician assistant. Besides being a PA, Rebecca loves to travel, read, write and being at home in Montana.



Susanne grew up in Lander, Wyoming where she inherited a love for the mountains. She completed a biology degree at Colorado State University before moving to Portland, Oregon where she earned her Master's of Physician Assistant Studies at Oregon Health & Science University in 2012. She worked in family medicine in northeastern Oregon for 3 years before moving to Livingston, MT in April 2016 to be closer to family. She proudly joined CHP where she works 3 days per week to provide patient-centered primary care. It is a privilege to get to know and care for the families of this thriving community. Her goals are to listen, learn, and grow with her patients and to help each one achieve their best health and wellness. In her free time, she loves to play in the mountains and on the rivers, run, play soccer, travel, and spend time with friends and her partner Rob, Lucy the cat and Pepper the dog.




Originally from Havre, Joanna obtained a B.A. degree from Stanford University and a D.D.S. degree from the University of Washington. She had been in private practice for nine years before coming to Community Health Partners. Joanna joined CHP in order to practice dentistry in a non-profit setting that allows her to offer care to anyone who wants to obtain it. She has a special interest in identifying patients’ individual risk factors for dental disease and uses these risk factors in customizing treatment plans for the individual patient.




Maya joined CHP as behavioral health director because she loves that CHP is open to accommodating our patients and putting their goals and needs first. She grew up in Boston and New York area and was born in the former Soviet Union. Maya earned her bachelor of arts degree and master’s of social work from Yeshiva University in New York, NY. She appreciates CHP treating the whole patient and that the clinics are an active part of the communities in both Park and Gallatin Counties. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new places in Montana with her husband and dog.


David Bowen, DDS

David Bowen, DDS, is an Idaho native, born and raised in the rolling hills of Moscow. He obtained his Bachelor’s in 2010 from Walla Walla University in Eastern Washington. While at WWU, he was able to attend a service trip abroad and was able to experience first hand the impact that dentistry has on developing communities and the help that this profession can provide. He attended Loma Linda University in 2012 and graduated in May of 2016. During his time at LLU he was involved in a dental clinic that met twice a week to provide free dental care to the surrounding communities, throughout his 4 years in dental school he amassed over 500 hours of service time. David is excited about living in Montana with his 6 month old daughter and Bozeman-native wife Ashley, to serve the community he is a part of and invest in the people that make up these beautiful communities!
