Laurel is originally from Minnesota, where her parents, who were veterinarians, raised her and her elder sister next door to an animal hospital. Her upbringing fostered a love for animals but also a desire to help people and pursue a career in medicine. Laurel completed her pre-health education at the University of Denver in Colorado and subsequently spent time obtaining experience in a range of healthcare roles in Colorado and California prior to relocating to Chicago, Illinois. Laurel attended a dual degree program at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, where she obtained a Master of Health Informatics and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. Upon graduation from Northeastern University, she relocated to Bozeman, Montana, with her husband eager to return to the mountains and join family living nearby. Upon arriving in Montana, Laurel began her search for a role as a Certified Physician Assistant and was thrilled to find an opportunity with CHP. She believes in individualized and personalized healthcare that revolves around the unique needs of each patient. Outside of work, you can find Laurel traveling, downhill skiing, cycling, reading, or her favorite, spending time with her friends, family, or husband and two dogs.
